Travis Stockton

Travis is a pastoral counselor in West Lafayette Indiana. He is the Director of GospelCenteredCounseling.org and is committed to the Gospel as the central hub of the Christian life. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Grace College with a Bachelor’s degree in Counseling and Bible and went on to earn a Master’s degree in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University Baptist Theological Seminary. He has nine years of independent pastoral counseling experience and has served in a variety of roles throughout the years in counseling and discipleship ministries.

As a pastoral counselor, he will tell you he needs the Gospel just as much if not more so than those he helps through counseling. He has wrestled with suicidal-ideation, depression, anxiety, anger, addictions, and obesity. As he has dwelt on the Gospel, he’s found that life is precious, there is an eternal hope that defies our circumstances, an ability to handle stress and a willingness to die to self in order to bring glory to Christ.

He is blessed to call Elizabeth Stockton his wife. They have two children together, two dogs, one sugar-glider, and may be contemplating adding a third dog. He loves running, anime, poetry, reading, photography, traveling, languages, food, and philosophy.
